Working across the full software lifecycle, you will contribute to backend development, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, production monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous service improvement. This is an ideal role for a Java Developer who also enjoys DevOps and operational responsibilities. 🔧 Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and supporting components using Java. Work with Azure cloud services and cloud-native application environments. Participate actively in operating production services, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, including investigating and resolving incidents. Improve observability through logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting. Automate operational tasks and improve deployment workflows and processes. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive actions to reduce recurring incidents. Collaborate with developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to improve service quality. Take end-to-end ownership of technical problems and drive them through to resolution. Contribute to consistent operational processes and continuous improvement across the engineering organisation. Skills & requirements ✅ Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on experience in Java software development. Practical experience with Microsoft Azure. Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments. Experience with containers and cloud-native technologies.
